Application to track the financial impact of salaries charged to sponsored programs when researchers are unable to make progress toward goals and deliverables. As we continue in our current state of operations, principal investigators have been instructed to continue charging salaries and other allowable expenses to externally sponsored grants and contracts. We are relatively certain that no-cost time extensions will be granted to offset COVID-19 related delays of meeting deliverables and goals. However, there may funding gaps created when researchers are unable to make progress toward goals and deliverables. It is important that we document effort and financial losses toward goals and deliverables due to any COVID-19 related reasons. To this end, we have partnered with Microsoft to create a simple tool for principal investigators to record these losses.
